Whats new?

June 30, 2012 By kalah.newsome

Long absence. One word to sum it up: CHILDREN! Finishing the semester for early childhood (2 more years to go..ish) and being director at an elementary school daycare leave me little to no time to blog. BUT its summer so here’s whats new.

  • Vacation in one week..YAY!
  • Starting a new Bible study: True Womanhood 101. And it is AMAZING! It’s all about discovering God’s will for women and the role He uniquely gave women and men. Fabulous šŸ™‚ Loving every minute of it. so much that I will post my findings. Lucky you! haha.
  • Newness in UR309 (the youth group). This summer on Wednesdays, we are having panel discussion type lessons. The youth come to UR309 prepared with topics/questions/sticky situations they encounter in their everyday lives. They ask the lovely and talented panel of leaders and we do our best to give our answers (backed up with scripture, of course) and kind of fire questions back at the youth. Our fun and interactive way of getting them prepared to defend their faith. SOOOO…I am going to be posting the questions of the week on my blog to continue the discussion and open it up to all of you reading..all three of you šŸ˜‰ Hope you enjoy.

This week’s questions were ROUGH, but here is the one that took up most of our discussion!

1. If God, being all-knowing, knew we as humans would sin and fall from perfection, then why would he create us in the first place?

**Teens and anyone else reading-if you would like to go ahead and post a question here, I can be sure we will address it this Wednesday. and remember, church basketball game this Sunday!

Here’s a song I’m obsessed with at the moment. Beautiful Life. Basically a rapper talking to women who find themselves pregnant and are considering abortion. (Choice’s Pregnancy Resource Center should use this song sometime)
