the purpose of my ramblings..
January 10, 2011I started this blog a year ago as an assignment for Kennesaw State. Now, however, I have thought of a new purpose. Lets begin with my commitment. About 6 months ago, our pastor Jeff Jackson announced that the youth group needed a volunteer to help out in the youth group. For some reason, I decided I would do it. Also some important information, at the time, I was pursuing a nursing degree. After a few weeks with the middle and high school girls, I decided that I was not meant to be a nurse, but a teacher. Since then, I’ve completely fallen in love with working with these girls. In an attempt to improve everything about my involvement with this group, not only the girls, but the entire group, I thought that keeping a blog on our lessons, other issues, and my life would be a good idea. Not that my life is interesting, but that in the near future, the group now will face the same issues that I do. Hopefully, by getting input from others, blog discussions, and other posts will be of some help. I hope to make this blog as interesting and fun as possible. That being said, don’t judge the blog by the boring and unimaginative title. At the time, this was just a school assignment. But my prayer is that God can use me through this blog in the lives of the youth. And hopefully, will use others who comment on the blog in all of our lives. So, girls, and anyone else who might stumble across this work of art, please feel free to post prayer request, discussions on the material, or anything else that might come across your mind.
Here is a link to the material I am using with the girls:
Online book blogs are up on youtube for anyone who wants to know more or for any of the girls that missed out on a Wednesday. Theyre girls gone wise book blogs. Just type that in the search box.
