So much..
October 14, 2009Alright, well a lot has happened in the past three days. One, I lost a blog I had saved. Two, I went to the police station. Three, I ate a tongue, but thats not really important. So, to catch everyone up, I’m dividing this blog entry into several different mini blogs.
Second day: the scenic tour. On the second day, we got to tour Salvador. It was amazing. We got to see some old Catholic churches. They were beautiful. One of them was all gold and I was so impressed. We also went to this buffet, and I was so bummed because I was craving food I knew. However, in an attempt to be adventurous, I ate AN OX TONGUE! It was amazing. Later, we saw a monkey. Cute. For dinner, we bought a frozen pizza from the market across the street and cooked it.. not the same as ole Red Barrons =)
Day three: The mystery cd drive. Today was so much fun, but so chaotic. Early this morning, we went to the university and I finally got to meet Carolina. It was so much fun because we got to learn how to make these chocolate desserts. They were amazing. We also learned how to do capoiera, which is this dance, that used to be a fight. Youtube it. Everyone danced and had a great time. After that, we got to eat.. SUBWAY! I was so excited. Later we all played soccer. Or should I say THEY played soccer while I tried. haha. It was a lot of fun, but really tiring. When we got back, I got a chicken sandwich from a restaurant down the street..AMAZING. After that, I came to my room to find the CD drive from my computer missing so Sergio, our security, took me to the police station to file a report. (Turns out my CD driver was in my backpack somehow) But, on the ride, Zari and I had a conversation with Sergio about the distribution of wealth, which I was happy about because we had just given a presentation on that subject only last week.It was really interesting to see his view on things. Anyways..stay tuned for tomorrow’s adventure =)
Kalah – it sounds like you are having an awesome time. I can’t believe you ate tongue. Yuck! One time we used a tongue for a sermon example and I had to go to every latino markiet in nashville. I finally found one at wal-mart.
Can’t wait to hear more of your adventures!
